AGING/COOPERAGE: 14 months in 50% new and 50% used French oak puncheons

A blend of two Chardonnay blocks from our Pastorale Vineyard that feature Old and New Calera, Maro, clone 76, Mt. Eden, Montrachet and Old Wente. The fruit was whole cluster pressed and barrel fermented slowly over several month, followed by malolactic fermentation. The barrels were minimally stirred, resulting in a wine of precision and lush, silky texture.
